                More than likely you will need a Form 130-U, Application for Texas Title and/or Registration. It can be downloaded from the txdmv website. Seller will sign it.
                I don’t believe that a hand written bill of sale works anymore.

                    ^^^^What this feller said is correct. You don't have to fill out all the info on the form, as some of it doesn't apply. Just fill out all the info that is available. And have the seller sign it. Here's a link to the Texas page with a link to the form 130-U on it. Click the link and save the file. Then just print it out.





                    It used to be that all you needed was a hand written note of the date and amount of $$$ for the transaction. That is no longer accepted. The state or any county court house will only accept the 130-U form now as a bill of sale.
