Doing the same on Lake Waco starting today. Snails, night crawlers and ghost minnows are what's going on the hooks.

Best of luck to yall and hope you fill up the boat.

You need a eye of somekind to put the hook in, and a cleat to throw a couple hitches around. No different than working lines solo, in a a river. Apron lines anyway, where current is involved.
        Good luck !!

Try some Zote Soap on a few hooks , you wont be disappointed, best and cheapest bait around and I catch more on the soap than live or any other bait. Old man in his 80's learned me about it on lake Tawakoni. I thought he was messing with me but he was right.
Might be true, but won't beat live bait for catching the best tasting freshwater fish not called crappie.

Walmart and most grocery stores carry it in stock. Just FYI for anyone wanting to try it. It does work.

How are you warming it up?

I could never get it on the hook the last few times I've tried.

I've used it on treble hooks. I'm not sure how good it would stay on a single hook

Put in on the dash of your vehicle in the sun, and it will soften with some heat

Poke it with a stick and see if it comes back to life.
