Yes sir! We've had some legendary washer marathons over the years. Seen the sun come up many times over a fistful of twenties.
I paid for a good portion of my honeymoon pitching washers at my bachelor party.
We invented a version of full contact washers at one of my old bachelor pad, but we had to ban it due to excessive injuries, and damage to the house.

My parents and both sets of grandparents used to play a LOT of 42. I remember my grandfather was aggressive about bidding. He would be dealt a hand that I might dismiss as trash, and he'd bid 2 marks on it! My parents seem to play more Mexican Train dominoes now. My sister-in-law introduced us to Star Fluxx over Spring Break. We had to buy a deck of Monte Python Fluxx, so we could play when she's not around. It's not a game to be taken too seriously. I can't convince my boys to learn 42. Spades is still fun. They will occasionally play Spoons or BS.
