Powder post Beatles. Get rid of the wood. You can't fix it.

    Ash is notorious for this.

Did any one notice that is an outstanding cat mount?!!!
Sorry for your wood troubles but i could be worse looking at what others get back.
I agree with others I would have the taxi find another wood for it.

Yes that is a very well done mount. Not easy to do as we all know. Your taxi did an excellent job on that bobcat. Congratulations on getting him, and for finding someone who obviously knows what he is doing when it comes to bobcat mounts.

I came for the drunk meth head cat face more than the ash and I like a nice ash

Are you 100% sure this is from the wood? You may have bugs in your mount. Try pulling on the fur all around the mount and se if any cones out. If you do have bugs in your mount, and you have other mounts, get it out of the house now......

This is classic signs of powder post beatles in the wood. That's what they do. Powdery dust just appears. I've redone cabinets that were so eat up with them the frame stile crumbled. The homeowner had a maid and the maid continued to clean up the dust without telling anyone until the door fell off the cabinet. We tell everyone that wants Ash about them and advise against it. I know of hardwood companies who were sued out of business because of powder post beatle issues.

Take everything off the wood. And then put it in the microwave for 10 minutes. It worked for me.....
