Cedar Creek and Palestine are always very productive lakes for crappie.

Stay the night at Powell Park, breakfast at the store then walk down to the dock and get in the boat. It won't be a full day trip though you will have your limits before noon most likely.

This. I have duck hunted, bass fished, and crappie fished with Stephen. He is a fantastic guide.

Just tell him you are going to Conroe then keep driving.

A day on Rayburn or Toledo will be much more enjoyable than a day on Conroe. Unless you like staring at bulkheads, getting bounced around by wakeboard boats and listening to their blaring music.

Roger Bacon is a guide on Rayburn. I have never fished with him, but I have friends that have and they all say he is a first class guide.

That's what I would do! Load up and go to Rayburn and never tell him any different! If Kevin is who took over for Roger Bacon he would be a good one!

Thanks Guys! I appreciate it. We’ll see what Mr. Shivers has to say. Hopefully I’ll follow up with some pictures.

I love Rayburn and Fork, but I live at Conroe and it can fish great too! Chris Edwards will put you on hybrids and crappie all day. Besides; it’s not pleasure boat season just yet.
