Ain't there a song called long haired country boy? Lol I've had my hair long down to my shoulders before, but only because i didn't feel like cutting it. When i cut it, i buzz it all down. That said i cut my son's hair. He's gonna be a hairy one like his dad, has a hairy back at 2 years old .

Lots of it in San Angelo too. It’s just the small schools that make them stay short. Couldn’t be past our shoulders so mine went just above most the time

My Dad got out of the Marines and had what looked like a perm. My Uncles and most young men that I have pictures from the 70s of had long hair as young men.

Now go back to my Grandpa's pictures and my Great Uncles, and there was no long hair to be found. From the 60's on long hair has been a thing for young folks.

I hate it personally, but my Brother has a man bun. He's a beast, and I'd take him against 97% of folks out there. And my Nephew looks like a girl.

Had a buzzed head since I started playing football in middle school. Been cutting it that way for so long if I let it grow out, I'll have a fro.

Coach never let anyone have hair past their shoulders play and that was never an issue. Coaches now a days might be fired over that

Exactly. Have several cousins running around between the ages of 3-5 with long hair that look like girls. The one finally got tired if having hair in his face and got after it with scissors. Forced his parents to give him a boys haircut. They keep it short now finally.

I don’t care if my kids hair has a little length. With that said he will have a fresh haircut, shaved face, and will be tucked in. I don’t like a soup sandwich and my kid is not looking like one. His baseball coach takes it a step farther and has hair length standards. I think someone tried to challenge it and he just said they don’t have to cut their hair they just can not step on the field if they are not up to team standards

Tucked in is fine unless we are talking t-shirts or polo shirts, unless your last name is Fonzarelli. I kid....

I don’t think my issue is like long hair or beards. It’s the look like they have not taken a shower or groomed in months that I don’t care for. I have buddies that I fish and hunt with from all walks of life. Some have long hair and beards. They all are well kept and don’t look like a Soup sandwich. Matter of fact I see them combing their hair and beards and always think I’m too lazy to do either

Definitely nothing new.

I've seen plenty of my parents pictures from back in the seventies and a ton of the dudes had long hair, including my old man.

No question, I think it's a phase for many younger guys.

With that said, most guys over 40 can't even grow long hair, so that's probably why they complain about it more than anything.
