You are correct. This was not posted to scare people into thinking chit is going down but to make everyone aware. As a supporter of the second amendment, we must always pay attention to what’s going on.

We all say we would fight til death. I find that hard to believe. First, you would lose badly. Second your family would be in harms way.

Now, I WILL NOT turn anything in. They may not confiscate. I can keep them for home defense but you still wouldn't be able to transport or hunt with them.

Does section 3, Paragraph 2 not indicate a grandfather clause or am I misreading? If it does, I wonder if you'll still be able to take them to public gun ranges and such...

“(2) Paragraph (1) shall not apply to the possession, sale, or transfer of any semiautomatic assault weapon otherwise lawfully possessed under Federal law on the date of enactment of the Assault Weapons Ban of 2018.
