They never go into dens and stay there in Texas...you get some sun and warm temp for a day and they will come out and stay close to the den....always be careful for snakes!

That thing looks big enough that a bit on snakes boots might knock you down. That is a big fat snake. Mind sharing about where that was killed. I want to make sure I don’t get near that area.

Killed a copperhead today and let a water snake go today here on Lake Fork. I hate snakes.

Just killed my first diamond back. 5ft long and big around as my wrist. It was within 10yarda of my front door against a fence post. Our cat ran into it and then the dogs ran over luckily none of the pets got bit. Hit it with birdshot out of the old Stevens double barrel.

"Kill 'em all!" One of my son's got bit last year. His ER/ICU bill was $34K after several treatments with anti-venom and 2 days in the ICU.

Folks that like to think they are "snake experts as my son thought he was," just takes ONE mistake and here we go.
