Continued prayers. This thread has me a little worried. I was diagnosed with Lymes two years ago. I had a tick bite during that summer the got infected. I figured part of the head was still in there. Had a bullseye on my belly for a week or so. About 4 months later I got really sick and just never could get over it. After being treated for the flu, viral infections, the crud and several other possible ailments I was finally tested for Lyme Disease. The test came back positive and I was put on meds that I took for I think 21 days. Ten days after taking the last pill I felt good and haven't been back to the doctor since. Not sure if I should follow up or not. I don't think I have any symptoms now.

Yes follow up . I would get checked at least every 6 months for next couple of yrs

That’s insane, how often do you talk with her or is she only able to give you updates by text? Sounds like it’s been hard on both of them. What a roller coaster for sure. Good to hear she’s improving.

If you have any worries at all I would follow up with someone. Lyme can be dormant for a long time and then flare up and turn your life upside down. It sounds like you got lucky and caught it early. There’s a handful of Lyme specialists in Texas, my mom has seen Dr Wilson in Denton and Dr Patricia Salvato in Houston, as well as Dr Jemsek in Washington, D.C., and none of their treatments even touched it. The only one I would recommend is Steve Hines of Hope Wellness in San Angelo.
