I'm not generally a fan of more government regulation, but it wouldn't hurt my feelings if they made it illegal for companies or organizations to sell or give away a person's information without express and clear consent from said person.

Is there a way to find who invented robo calls? I’d like to make voodoo doll of this person and take it with me in my truck and jab it w/my pocketknife every time I receive one of these calls!!

robocalls cost nothing for the perpetrators. So what does is when a live person wastes their time. So quite often I'll either just answer and let them listen dead air... or act as if I can't quite understand them and get them to repeat. Either way, I'm doing something else while the call is going on.

              Status update

So I enabled nomorobo about two weeks ago. Here are the results over time.

Before nomorobo, I was getting anywhere from 12 to 18 robo calls per day.

              After enabling nomorobo:

Day 1 and 2: had about 5-6 robo calls, and all got shut down on the first ring.

Day 3 thru 5: robo calls dropped to 2-4 per day, all shut down on first ring.

Day 6 thru 10: getting 1-2 robo calls, that immediately shut down. Now, starting to get calls from robo numbers, that are new. They may ring two or three times, then get shut off.

Day 11- 12: Only getting a couple of calls, all shut down on first ring.

Today: Only one robo for the entire day. It was at about 6:00 p.m., and it stopped on the first ring.

Tomorrow: Maybe a robo free day

Also, I have not received any spam email, since signing up for this.

I have a contact in my phone labeled Village Idiot. If i get a new robo call I save it to this contact. The contact is set to decline so when they call again the next day my phone doesn’t ring.

I do the same thing but use Scam as the contact name. I am now up to Scam 3 as I ran out of room on the first two.

The wife and I just downloaded the app. I'm sick of all the calls. I've had one guy named Jesse call me over 20 times about a car warranty.

I even got a call from my own number last week. How can that happen?

Received a call from a local number about a credit card this evening. I called the number back and a young girl answered. Spoke to her mother and let her know someone was spoofing through her daughters phone. She informed me that her 13 year old daughter had received a call from my number.

It’s getting outrageous. I get 4 or 5 a day, I run a business and each call could be a customer. I never answer the “unknown” but, they do get me when they call from my area code.
