Hinch said the thumb is still an issue and will continue to be so for the foreseeable future. He indicated foul balls and being jammed by a pitch are the main irritants. Hitting a ball hard doesnt hurt at all and according to the docs no further damage is occurring from swinging a bat at this point which is good news. Dale, I think you are referring to that pitch that jammed him pretty good because he was shaking his hand before he even reached first base. -
