Don't do it in sandy soil either. You need 4 wd,get a mule.

Agree with this statement until I found they make a front end conversion to independent suspension. That is my next upgrade.

My cart is only 36V with an upgraded controller but has plenty of power and range. The best upgrade I made was independent front suspension. For some reason I don’t have any good after pictures.

Also, if you paint it make sure you sand it and use adhesion promoter before painting.

I think you can skip the motor and controller. Good strong batteries and a lift will get you going a long ways.

That is the upgrade I am saving for right now. Upgrading the controller is a must. The increased performance is worth it.

Some slick looking rigs on here. I will be using it mostly for driving on levee roads between fields. I don’t foresee mud being to much of an issue on these roads, more so the roads get slippery and also not wanting to rut them up with my truck. For those that have done what I’m talking about, what can i expect from a cost standpoint. Are we talking a couple grand or more towards 4-5k. Just looking for a ball park

While I know the drivetrain is practically silent, are the carts themselves quiet too? I've always been interested in a golf cart for my place, but I won't stand for a cart that sounds like a bucket of bolts every time it hits a bump. I know lots depends on how you load your gear, but what about the carts themselves? Experiences?

You can't just do a lift, super rough. Do a Jake's long travel kit. You will spend several grand on this build. So ask yourself this. Could you sell the cart as is for $? Now take that plus the 4 or 5k to build it, and is it worth it vs buying a bad boy or huntve?

What would be the standard list of upgrades for performance on a stock 48V golf cart? Lift w/ independent suspension, cables, and controller?
