Welcome aboard! Me and Paul have made it a habit of hunting the blind on the west end of that channel, I’m guessing the MIL blind is the one y’all built? If y’all need help brushing it this fall holler on here and I’ll try to come help!

Yeah, it was intended to only be temporary, but it was a productive location, especially in the evening. Look forward to brushing it up much better next year. Pulling up from the west in the oilfield channels worked really well even in the super low tides this winter.

The MIL blind is actually a semi temporary blind he built 20 feet from the big wood pilings where everyone kills banded birds
Ah gotcha cool deal. I’m hoping to get down there a couple of weekends this year and fish, maybe learn how to get back to the island without getting stuck [emoji23]
In other news I’m going spiffy with my decoy lines. Ordered two Lifetime decoy DIY kits and the 6oz pyramid mold from Barlow Tackle in Richardson, Tx (Knutson’s wanted a arm and leg for shipping). So now to decide if I want to sell my pintails too some local kids and get new dekes or float these another year before switching out. If nothing else I can make the decoy lines and swap them out thanks too the swivel snaps now.
For the guys hunting over near the mother-in-law blind on Sunday morning, we talked about a couple items I thought you might appreciate more info on. First we talked about the local POC fishing guide, Kevin Townsend, featured in television episode. He also wrote a piece about fishing in the 2018-2019 Texas Almanac and there is a piece in there on hunting as well. You can get a free electronic copy at tshaonline.org/membership/texas-almanac/. We also talked about my place down in POC that would house most or all of you when your down next year, see texasvacationadventures.com/. Thanks for inviting me to hunt with you. Crazy guy hunting in shorts and water shoes.
Welcome aboard Steve. It was cool hearing your history of the area and was cool hunting with you.
