Drive to Seward on 17th (long drive). Undecided on trips in Seward?? Any suggestions? Then drive to Soldotna on 19th for the fishing trip. Fishing 20th, 21st, & 22nd. Fly out of anchorage on the 23rd. I hope that leaves us enough time to relax and enjoy some local flavors in Talkeetna and Seward.
We avoided the glacier tours in Seward as they seemed way over priced. We did the free hike up to the ice glaciers and that was a really nice family day. We left real early and were the only ones hiking which made it nice. On the way down we walked past a lot of folks hiking up. Pictures in the link one post up.

A quick search found this thread. The wife and I are leaving in a couple of weeks for an 11 day cruise-land tour of Alaska through Princess Cruise Lines. We too will celebrate our 30 year anniversary in July.
We are excited as this will be the first time to visit Alaska.

            Both with bad eyesight apparently
            Congrats to you as well.

We are flying into Seattle a couple of days early to do some sightseeing there before heading up to Vancouver where we will board the ship.

Stops and excursions in Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay National Park, College Fjord and Whittier before starting the land portion throughout Denali NP. Definitely excited to say the least.
