Last Sunday, I asked the Fire if anyone had experience with the Outdoor Gourmet pellet grill from Academy.

After reading reviews and looking at different brands, I decided to get one on Thursday. I bought one unassembled and put it together that night. Yesterday morning, I went through the recommended curing process before throwing some dead cow and pig on it. I cannot express how impressed I am with the first use of the smoker. It held temperature great! I had a ThermoPro verifying temp. I lined the inside with tin foil, so cleanup was a breeze. Hopefully this unit will withstand time, and I’ll be able to get lots of use out of it.
