I’ve tried hog calling with several callers. Even while seeing hogs at 200yrds they just ignored it. It would really be great to have a sound that worked.

Have you tried my sounds yet?

it seems that most hunters new to calling try to call to hogs they can see. I call mostly to hogs I can't see or can see but can't access. As with calling anything there are good days and no so good days. Lone boars will nearly always respond to calling and sows with pigs will nearly always respond to calling. young bachelor groups are hit and miss. Sometimes they come on a string and sometimes they act like they can't hear it at all. We once called in 13 young boars at once.
There are times when you can hear hogs but can't see them. This usually means there is breeding going on. These breeding groups are about 50/50 as well. I haven't figured out if it is the boar taking the sows away or the sows taking the boars away. It is much like calling to a gobbler that has a group of hens with him. they just ease away. The best sound for that instance is piglet distress if there's a dominate sow in the group she will respond.

There is nothing like having a group of mad hogs headed your way. LOL

That is bad to the bone!! Those Cirrus wind indicators are a great tool as well.

I got the Bullet Speaker yesterday and that bluetooth hookup to the app is simply great, works super here at the house at 50 yds.

I'm very fortunate to be able to hunt where I do, but there are cows in the area and I just use a pig pipe (that I leave there baited) and bait the area when I arrive. It's not covered up in hogs, I've only seen one at a time and only one sow with 2 piglets once, but haven't been able to get one yet...
I just purchased the app and will be trying it out first with my Bose speaker to see what happens. It will be mid week next week.
                    Thanks

It works. I bought the Convergent Bullet Call last year and first time out called up a large sow and piglet group. One of my 7Yr old twins got their first hog. It sounds Awesome and super realistic! Also met Glenn at the Extravaganza in Ft Worth this past year and he told us best ways to use it. He knows his stuff!

Hey, they work and I appreciate it Glen, keep it up brother !!!!

And that (female) topic we had on PM has really been scoring me some big Boars this year.

I have done it with just the phone and the speaker

I have been getting them in darn close, some with shotgun slugs, some with crossbow.

Would love to try calling some but already have a FP and not willing to pay $250+ for a speaker that requires your cell phone to make a complete calling system

If there is some other speaker option I would be happy to hear it

I’ve found it to work with

                                DIN Speaker cable
                                My truck Speakers
                                Bose Bluetooth
                                Bluetooth El Cheapos
Other speakers using a cable to my device

What was really enlightening to me like mentioned in the video above is how far they can hear the dang phone speaker. It really puts a new perspective on being still in the stand and not crinkling a water bottle and such.

Any subtle sound you make, they can hear for over 100 yards with ease.
