    Ring doorbell camera

Just got mine set up tonight. Anyone else running one? Thinking about getting one of their spotlight cameras too for my side gate.

Pretty clear picture. This is the Ring Pro.

I have one...took awhile to get the motion distance adjusted but it’s pretty cool.

With the pro you can configure motion activated zones and have the bell send you an alert to your phone if motion is detected as well as if the doorbell is pushed.

It also records video to their cloud server($30/year for subscription) each time the motion sensor is activated as well as when doorbell is pushed. I can also activate it anytime and get a live view from the camera from anywhere I have phone service.

I’ve got one and love it. I bought 4 of them this year for Christmas gifts.

***took a screen shot of this pic when Santa stopped by this year.

Yes bought the Honeywell product called Skybell from another Tbh’er & love it.
It’s motion activated & notifies me of activity & it also allows a live view & audio to anyone within earshot.
It also records 5-45 seconds with each motion detection
              Glad I bought one

How are these powered? I see you have to have existing door bell wiring which I do but it's mounted on a wall perpendicular to the front door.

They are powered by your existing doorbell power, @20VAC. You install a receiver module in the inside doorbell and replace the exterior pushbutton with the ring.

You also need a Wi-Fi connection for the ring to connect to. My daughter doesn't have a DSL connection yet, we were able to test it via my iphone hotspot.

Can order them from www.ring.com or pick them up locally. I bought mine from Home Depot.

I believe they also have some that have rechargeable batteries if you don't have wires pulled for the doorbell.
