We got to bed a little after 2 am. Jr and I were the only two that decided to go hunt. The stand that has been best for axis had a bow and rifle stand but the wind from the bow blind was terrible. We sat the rifle stand and had a great morning. We saw 10-15 whitetail does, 3 good whitetail bucks, 10 axis does and a couple young axis. We had an axis buck come in that was 30-31 inches with good brows and good caudals. I gave jr the green light but he was hesitant. He missed a monster here last year that still haunts him! He passed. We ended up having an old warrior axis buck come in with short beams. We decided to help the feed bill and he made a great shot at 87 yards. We are on the board and they have feeders spinning again at 1130 am.
