Ramsey is good for people who need it but not all people handle money the same way

I knew the Dave Ramsey stuff would get hammered lol. He helps folks that can't manage their money. Say you pay off a $40k car loan. You made nothing. Get a low interest rate and make payments. Invest that 40k. You'll probably make a fair return if done right. Dave won't tell you that. He has helped a lot of people. A lot of people don't need his help.

I have a BassPro card and pay everything off each month. Bought my $1200 safe with rewards points and just bought brothers Christmas gift with points.
BP is kinda expensive, so I only buy from them when I price match

Yes it is smarter to pay cash as you end up spending ALOT LESS!!!

All the arguers talking about how you make back money on credit cards and HEB cards, etc. don't understand that the whole premise is that when you use a card (of any sort) it is much easier to spend more. They did studies and monitored the brain activity for people using cash vs. card and there is a sadness type brain function when you use cash. No such thing when you swipe a card.
If that isn't true then go buy 100 bags of corn and 100 bottles of vanilla from HEB and let me know which one is harder to do - cash or card?

I use an AMEX Gold. Never had any issues to speak of and the one time I did have to call them it was the most refreshing phone call to a credit card company I had ever experienced, All the customer service reps spoke perfect English and were as nice as could be. Didn't sound like I was talking to a call center on the other side of the world.

So yeah I said we live within our means and pay cash for everything, I didn’t say YOU should live within your means, I said WE live within our means, so Felicia ain’t going nowhere...
