Assuming anything before facts is a problem here lately. I wouldn't assume that. I know a lot of high fence places that bring elk and other non game animals in.

Well maybe you could add that to the rules....

I don't see that the height of the fence matters, if the land owners tells you to not shoot the elk and then you shoot it, you are now a poacher.

Haha. I’m not the guy but I’m waiting on more info as I was not there when it happened. I’ll update as soon as i hear what the LO and group decides. Keep the comments coming though as they are pretty entertaining.

Some other info to go with what happened. We only recently saw pics of the Elk on the property. We then told LO when pics were seen. Because we are low fenced, there was talk of the LO trying to find out if they escaped from a neighboring property. Not sure what the plan would have been if they found out where they came from. All i know is we were told to hold off on shooting them. I am waiting on word from the head of our group to see how the discussion went with LO. I’ll keep y’all updated on how it goes.
