I was just in there last weekend and watched a guy exchange a unit that was gaining time from the bad batch years. The guy there looked at the numbers on the back and exchanged it with no questions asked....just handed him a new unit and sent him on his way.

I like the warranty but this will be the 5th timer to go bad among the others I've just dealt with so a tad bit annoying.

I can understand your annoyance... I was merely suggesting that you shouldn't have any problems exchanging it if its in the time period and warranty period. I'm glad to have bought mine 10 plus years ago and not had to deal with any problems..
