I have an old...real old(like 15 years) tripod that was built by an Austin firefighter as a second business. It has held up well over the years.
Anyways... the seat connects to the tripod top via a male/female connection. the female connection that is part of the seat is positioned forward of center.
Which is fine if you are dead level. But if less than level, it makes it hard to swivel.
I saw a tripod at a outdoor show in Lampasas this past year and the connection was the same, but it was centered under the seat.
Does anyone know where I can get just the seat that has that type of connection?
I don't have pictures, the tripod is set up at the lease. May have to get some next trip.
thanx,
