Anything to do in Giddings tx?

I'm working in Giddings and my wife and 3 year old son is on there way to stay with me. 3 year olds and hotel rooms don't go well together. Anything for them to do while I'm working?

Y’all should drive down road to Winchester, Tx and go to Murphys Steakhouse. Good food

      Good luck.
A drive to Brenham isn't to far. Have a few more options there.

There is a Christmas light show not too far down the road that should be open by now. I'm pretty sure it's towards Brenham on the right hand side but I really can't recall.... Might look into that as it could be fun to take them to this weekend or next.

Lights of Tejas is just south of Giddings and a pretty nice light show. There's quite a bit of stuff to do out there also (Camp Tejas). Go out to Bullpen to eat or watch sports at a pretty nice sports bar (same area as Camp Tejas). Bastrop has a movie theater 30 minutes away as well as shopping (Academy, Best Buy, Super Wal-Mart, etc...).

For food, check out Hunan's, Santa Fe Steakhouse (affordable and really good), Walch Store in Lincoln, Los Patrones and Chihuahua's (great breakfast tacos).

Lake Somerville is just a backroad away and makes for a nice ride to kill time.

La Grange has quite a bit too and good food (~20 minutes away).

I live in Giddings so shoot me any other questions you may have. It's a nice area.

I have family there and hunt in the area. Murphy’s is always good, the new steakhouse in town is good and los patrones, elm creek, and Walch store is good, bullpen is another option. For things to do, my gf likes going to the shops; Ashley’s attic, and simply spruced are the ones she really likes to go to

Besides places to eat in Giddings and Winchester there’s not much. For breakfast go to the taco house across the street from whataburger and I second the Winchester steak house for dinner
