I have a 14 2500hd that I put a leveling kit on. It’s a rough country torsion key LK. Just make sure you have the right tools and it’ll take about 45 minutes to do the whole thing. Looks bad ***** and gives the truck a tough looking stance. Make sure you get a front end alignment after to abaoif cupping of the tires

I plan to use shocks with adjustment enough to level. The ride of my 2014 Silverado 1500 double cab has degraded at only 31k. Mine is the LTZ with the Rancho shocks and I read they can wear out fairly fast and I believe it. So right now I am considering the Bilstein 5100's for a better shock and a little more level stance. A friend also has a 2014 Silverado double cab but his is not an LTZ and he just used a leveling spacer that went on top of the coil over and he is very happy with it.

I used the spacers and Bilsteins in the front also. No problems 29k miles later.

Ive installed leveling and 5" kit on 2012 gmc 2500hd duramaxs.

Leveling- crank torsion bars, but you need new adjusted upper a-arms to keep ball joints at correct angle, cognito makes hd replacements. Also need new longer shocks. With big fender mod it will clear 33s with no rubbing during turns with bumps. Rides fi ne.

5" - really only 3" lift, 3" blocks in back. Its 5" upfront. Rake comes out to be 1.5" vs stock 2.5". Rides level with 16ft trailer and sags 1" with gooseneck and tractor on it. Ride is better than stock.

Never bought a truck for mileage so I would do it in a heartbeat again!
I did the same to my 14. I️ did 33x12.5” tires. My mileage dropped 2 mpg

"looks cool" <-- top reason to do it. Some people outgrow this, others do not.
Wore out a lot of front end components with them. They look good but I guess I have out grown them. No real benefit other than looks

This is good to know. While I want my truck to look good, aesthetics aren’t as important as longevity and dependability.

Put a Readylift on this truck for less than $300. Check em out. It's easy. And just did the front end leveling kit.

You wear out front end components by using a half assed leveling kit/method.

Cognito leveling kit WITH upper control arm replacements - will run a little over $1,000 but will look great and will ride as good or better than factory

Here is a pic of my 2008 with leveling kit, ride was the same but gas mileage went down a few miles.

                        God Bless

Had an '08 and now '15 GMC 2500 w/ Congnito leveling kit w/ upper A-arms and Fox shocks w/ zero issues on either one. My dad has the same kit on his '15 GMC 2500 as well. I didn't get crazy on the torsion bars. Just enough to level the trucks and they rode great without any issues to date. Only thing they recommend is to grease the upper ball joint every 3-5K since they aren't the factory sealed ball joint. Not a big deal at all takes about a minute to do both. IMO makes the trucks look a lot better without all the rake from the factory.
