Still hate to see it. Dad just forgot to tell me about this.

Side of the road...not so much...at my front gate...you bet. If a warden shows up and checks your gut pile, you would have some explaining to do as why there was a rotting deer carcass with no head. Plus, what happened is still illegal.

Not to mention, if you look at the front shoulder it does look like it was shot. Given the circumstances: Apparent arrow/gunshot wound, missing head and by your front gate. Yes, that warrants a call to the GW in my book.

Have seen wardens remove a head just to keep the temptation of passerbys doing the same

You saw a GW leave a carcass on the side of the road?

I don’t get it, is a buck skull really worth so much you’d cut the head off one laying on the side of the road. I really don’t get it, this just baffles the crap outa me.

Yeah looks like a hole in its shoulder. Probably the reason why it got caught in fence.

I have no idea why anyone would want the skull...to mount a deer you didn't kill? Decoration? To me having a mount is a right of passage. You don't just buy them to put on the wall, they should all be legal animals you've harvested.

I am so confused. SO what happened to the head since your dad knows and didn't tell you?

                          Glad it wasn’t a poacher.

Maybe one day the game warden will put his number on the internet so it can be google searched. Until then, thank the lord for TBH!

Folks use the antlers to make lamps, chandeliers, dog chews, all sorts of stuff.

So what happened to the head???
