Disagree. I have been using winch up feeders for close to 30 years and never had one (knock on wood) fail, fall down or get turned over by hogs or cattle and since they have worked so well for me I will continue to use them and I like how far they sling corn (12 volt) and keep the deer in and around the feeder longer and besides, there is hardly a place a deer could not stand that I do not have a shot. But to each his own.
I do keep mine in tip top shape and check the pulleys and cable often for wear that could possibly mean a failure of some sort.
This. ^^^^ I only have two, the rest are the conventional type, but if/when I ever get another, it will be the directional feeder from Krivoman. I just can't see a downside to it.
