My mother in law , called me and said a coral snake was in camp yard , 3rd one this season
Is now hoed down
That's funny about the hoe, I was just thinking while I was filling feeders the other day about snakes and hoes. I bet more snakes have been killed with a hoe than a gun

I've seen quite a few rattlesnakes on the road. More baby ones than anything. Seen a few snakes that were smashed up on the road. Pretty sure one of those was a coachwhip and one bullsnake. Not sure what the other one I saw was but it had seen better days. Looked like he'd been ran over with a tractor nine or ten times.
I was gonna say something about thinking about snakes and hoes but....nah.....I better not.

I don't know that there's a better tool for ridding a snake of his head. In fact, I can't think of another reasonable use for a hoe.
Interesting! I'm in Montague County. Have never seen one period, be it here, or anywhere else for that matter. Pretty sure I would recognize one, after seeing the various pics on this site. We don't even see diamondbacks.
