Be careful wading the mouth of the brazos if you've never been there. Sand bar always changing and can be pretty dangerous. Life vest is good idea.

Those will work good if the trout are there.

If the water's off color bait is your best bet. Might be able to find some better water at the end of the Freeport or Quintana jetties. If you wade, remember to shuffle your feet to nudge any lurking stingrays out of the way, and I'd recommend long pants to avoid being lit up by a stray jellyfish. Wear a life vest so you don't become a statistic.
