Good shooting. Especially the first 3[emoji23]
    I call it "brickin' 'em"

I should have brought the rifle. Tough to hit those little dudes when they're in that big a trap.

The delay before fall over was hilarious

I set one up this year as well. I started figure 6 like you but have had great success with a saloon style door with a trip wire. 32 ft diamater with a feeder on the inside. T posts every 2.5 feet. Larger boars and sows will not go in a figure six in pressured areas, they are just too smart. I would recommend doubling up your tposts and adding as many clips as you can. A good size boar will flatten that panel like a pancake with that much space in-between.

          Good luck!
I'm gonna set one up like Casey, but strengthen it like you suggested. I'm curious about your "saloon" door set up?

Hell I am more impressed what the 22 was doing. I trapped a few bow hunting and all I had was my daughters pink 22. I gurantee I would have had some comments if I videoed. Good job on the trap. Unless they are pressured or big they will not get out.

Yes! I thought I'd be the only one that thought the animated way they fell over was amusing.

That's what I'm talking about! I haven't cleared a trap in that fashion in a while. I need to do that soon!

                Good stuff!

That trap design is unique. A bar circle instead of a 6/9. Hogs can enter from the south and the north.

So where my figure 6 entrance was I attached one of these. They go over tposts. I keep it propped open with an oak branch with 550 cord tied to it and staked to the ground a good 25 ft away. Cord is very taught. I pour corn from the entrance away from the trip cord in a circle around the feeder and back towards the stake. Then i put a whole bag all around the cord where its staked and the hogs will trip it closing the door.
