I mowed about 30 acres yesterday and noticed quite a few rats, more than usual. This is in North Arkansas and we've had maybe a slightly wetter than average summer, but a really wet spring.

        Maybe it's a widespread thing?

All the ponds are full and have been overflowing. The humidity has been very unpleasant. I ended up having to leave brushy areas below and on the pond dams alone until things dry up more. The tractor started sliding sideways when I attempted to drive across a further dam that wasn't near as steep. Figured I had better not push it. So thankful for no injuries or equipment damage.

Be nice to those friendly snakes and the rodents will depopulate

I was thinking the same thin this last week. I haven't seen this many before(erath county). I'm just shredding the tops of weeds and leaving the grasses good for livestock and wildlife forage but I hate seeing all them scamper free.

It's because of the eclipse! Lol! On a serious note have had an abundance of mice and spiders.
