Boat registration question

I bought a boat from a guy.Took the bill of sale,vin #'s etc to TP&W in Garland..The lady says I need a pencil scan of the vin's..The boat has an embossed vin #.The motor just has a sticker..There's no way to pencil scan it..Is snapping a pic of it good enough? They wont answer the phone,and I'd hate to drive all the way over there for nothin'..

I had titles,vins,bill of sale,etc..Said I had to have a pencil scan of the boat,and motor vins.

PWD 143 form for TPWD and a 130u for trailer registration is all I have ever needed

Yep. Been through 3 boats and have never had to provide a scan of the VINs

Texas has the most effed system for boat registration. Also remember this. Big gov seems to always forget they work for us. 6 months ago I had a title issue and went to the TPWD. I always get a real nice lady with the exception of that day, I got polar opposite. She was an unbelievable ***** from the get go. She wound up going so far over board she stood up and told me to leave the TPWD office. I was shocked at her behavior. I called and filed a formal complaint. I was more shocked when I received a call from the Houston area Captain. He said he reviewed the office video and apologized on behalf of TPWD for her behavior. He said corrective measures were in place for this person. So always remember they have video at each of the TPWD windows and hold them accountable.
