What do do with the dead animals?

I was told that the pugs here hace worms and can't eat them before the first frost like rabbits back home in Missouri so what do you do you do with the body if you kill one? I will be hunting on public land

I've never tried pug but I hear yorkies taste like chicken and shih-tzu's taste like...well...not chicken. I would drag a wormie pug off for the coyotes and buzzards to eat.

Pug sausage. The grinding kills the worms and adds flavor.

Stir fry? That seems to be the Chinese way

Bring some dry ice with you. That should take care of those pesky worms. Seriously, you will be fine. Live on the edge and shoot a rabbit before December as well.

The worms that are in pork are called Trichinae. Cooking the meat will kill them. Cook the 160.
If you're on public land, there may be a rule against leaving a dead animal.

You could probably find a Vietnamese or Chinese restaurant that will take a dead Pug?

As far as any other animal, it's safe to eat them year round, just make sure you cook them to proper temperature.

How were you lucky enough to draw a non-resident pug tag??? I'd be more worried about killing one, especially on pubic land, before learning to cook one. Let's not pug the cart before the horse here.

Well would you just look at thaaat!!

Not joking...I've heard that bobcat actually is a sweet meat that tastes pretty good. I would try it (full disclosure: I am from East Texas and come from a family that was known to eat what they trapped or shot, incuding coons and possum. My momma had to haul water from the creek when she was a girl). So with that being said...fry up some kitty back strap and I'll eat it!

You gotta quit drinking so early.
