How do I kill this stuff??? Help

I have this aquatic vegetation in a small pond and need to kill it out. I have tried numerous aquatic killers but nothing works. It will turn brown when sprayed and return within 2-3 weeks.

Can someone either help me identify this plant or tell me how to kill it? I am beyond frustrated with it.

    Thanks.

round-up. Just don't spray all of it at once as it could hurt the fish. Mix just like you would to spray other weeds.

Water shield. Google AQUAPLANT. When you go to watershield on there it will give you a list of effective herbicides.

Thanks. Any more suggestions besides dynamite or tannerite?

Any aquadic 2 4-D should take care of it. Question is how does it keep coming back? When you get to aquadic plants and fish safe herbicides it can get costly. Some of the best stuff runs about $37/oz like Sonar AS, but not sure I would send that kind of money this late in the year. Sonar controls weeds all season long. Like mentioned above, Kelly Duffie over on pondboss works for Helena Chemical in Cypress, tx and would be the best person I know to ask.

I agree it looks like water shield to me

A guy I shoot with uses a type of Japanese snail and they keep it clear. Although when asked about any affects from adding that invasive to his pond, I got a blank stare........

Get a pickup truck load of kids and spread them out around pond. Have them drag as much of it up and out of the pond as possible, then attempt some treatment. If it grows back, just repeat step 1 every month or so....

Not Round-up. It takes oxygen out of the water use Rodeo same as round-up kill wise but does not take oxygen out of water. But the plant needs to be above the water. Ask the professional goggle them up is the way to go. Good luck
