One of the guys on our place has one and it's a booger to fill up. I like the running two side by side idea much better.

FIL had a place in Mexico and they built 4 in his shop. All winch up with electric winches. Winches had plugs on them and they would drive the sammy up to the feeder and winch down.

Why throw one feeder in the morning and one in the evening. If your throwing each one for a total of 6 seconds a feed time, why not have both throw for 3 seconds in the morning and 3 seconds in the evening. This way if one stops working you will have one still throwing in the morning and evening. Never now, you might have the buck you want to shoot only showing up in the morning so if your feeder stops working that throws in the morning that buck may just find greener pastures.

With all that said, by the time you get done buying two barrels, two timers, two motors, two solar panels and two boxes to put it all in, you could have easily bought the the 600# stand and fill from Academy. Heck, just two lower 12V units with everything would cost you as much or more then the one from academy.

Please save your hassle and don't do this! Just spend a little more and buy one that will last, be easier to fill and hold more corn

This is what I'm thinking about doing. For both reasons mentioned. Not having to fill as often and if one quits the other is still going.

Thanks for all the input guys! I'm either going to get two feeders going or just buy a good stand and fill! Thanks again for all the responses and ideas.
