I have a husky and as a lease/home saw it has been great with no issues.

Same here. I have the MS170 and it is light weight and has served me well over the past 3-4 years, felling a few large trees, maintaining trails, and cutting up downed trees for campfire wood.

Use the money you save and buy a good par of chainsaw chaps and wear them.

Echo. I have a CS 400 that is about perfect for what I do, but may be more saw that what you need. I have cut a huge amount of trees with it. Keep ethanol gas out of it though. That goes for any gas saw.

I got Echo and Stihl. Both are great but I prefer the Echos.

I would look into saws the that tree trimmers use, there is a difference in weight. Have to consider they are up in the air working.( something I learned after I bought the 290)
I also have a battery powered Stihl pole saw. Now thats the bomb, it will out run me and with speed charger is ready to go in 20 minutes. Price might prohibitive though.
All that said, the Stihls/Echos are the way to go. I wasted alot of money on Poulan, sears etc
This is the one I have that I commented on I have had for 15 plus years. You are correct about the weight problem with the 20" bar especially. I will be adding a smaller one in the near future that weighs less.

It has been handled... but Stihl and Echo trim saws will do great.

I believe Stihl makes a "home" version. Or use to. Don't get those. Get a pro model. Same with the Echo. Pro version
