Well we ended the season with leaving almost everything. The big 12 is happy with his 20 girlfriends. Had a nice season with a good amount of rain at the end of the year so it is pretty green right now. Deer are looking good. I think we only shot 1-2 does, gemsbok killed 3 bucks, I think we killed 3 bucks and the 174 a kid from Louisiana shot. Overall it was an enjoyable season and already looking forward to shed hunting and antler development for next year!

If we can get some timely rainfall we should be in for a banner year next year. Our top end bucks will be 6.5 next season and we will start giving them a closer look and see what shakes out.

Will report back when we start finding some sheds.

Well the season came and went. Shot a few does and young junk bucks. The one tight rack buck scored 174” and was the only semi-mature deer we killed.

Off to a GREAT start with the range conditions. The deer aren’t hitting the protein hardly at all. As green a spring as we have had in years. Got 1” of rain over the weekend. Should give a big boost to the deer and plants for a while. Finding a few sheds but they are tough to come by this year. Too much grass but I’ll take it!
