We stopped at Bill's in Burnet on Sunday. About 12:30 and there was no crowd.

We ate there because of recommendations on this thread.

The burgers and onion rings were outstanding.

We've always stopped at Whataburger, but will now make Bill's the go-to stop on the way back.

Back in the 90s there used to be a place in Nixon called Rudy and Emilias. You would have to wipe the grease off your hand. It was a dang good burger.

Yep, and a place in Jourdanton that had good burgers back then. Old fella would fry em had a cigarette hanging out his mouth and an old cat walking around his feet.

Bills Burgers in Burnet.Homemade fries and onion rings- trust me do the 1/2 order.Finally got a decent place in town to eat besides the now famous Bar-B-que Shack.

Kajun Shack in New Caney. it's just a little hole in the wall place with really good burgers. They named a burger after me (The Josh Burger). It is two 1/4 lb patties, chicken fried bacon, chicken fried habaneros, jalapenos, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and mustard.

I will have to try this one Josh! I love Pete's burger in Porter!

Woody's in Mineral Wells. Double meat,double cheese, mustard and pickles with a bowl of peppers, bag of chips and a cold schooner!
