I grew up with Thom Smith and those burgers use to be the bomb! I have not had one in years.

Lots of good ones (Alamo Springs is my favorite) but I'll add two more. Jacoby's feed store in Melvin. Heck everything is good there! And Simon Brothers in Roosevelt. Both good grub.

Yes ole butcher shop in Plano hard to beat. Wingfields in Oak cliff has a **** good burger. When I lived in Abilene Bills Burger and Larry's Better burger. Grew up eating both.

I had a pretty good burger last night in Monahans at the I Don't Care Bar & Grill. I wouldn't go as far as calling it the best, but it was dang good.

Another honorable mention is at the Angelina Co Airport in between Lufkin and Diboll off 59

Lots of black pepper, MUSTARD, pickle and onion only for me -- my favorite meal.

I'm an old guy---don't see how I'll ever get around to trying all these places.
