That's just awesome gents! That right there is what TBH is all about!

I think the bees may have been super docile because they knew they were going to a special home.

I would guess the new fellow mentioned is the one that is completely covered in protective gear while the other one has none.....

I'll pay more attention when I have to shut the water off at the meter from now on. Pretty cool deal.

I think the queen may have been in that hole... I've still got quite a few bees down there!

                    Looking at the second photo:

                    1. At the top it looks like the hexagonal cells are filled with honey and have been waxed over..
                    2. Below theses the cells appear filled and ready to waxed over
                    3. Some are not quite filled
                    4. Some others also have what look like little round balls on top of the cell that look like pollen. What are those?
                    5. Do you take the comb out and put in the frame and then the bees congregate in the box?

Are any of the things above correct?

I do appreciate y'all saving the hive for the thread!
                    And great looking Family

Gonna inspect the hive this afternoon and add second box.
                      Are they still there today?

                        Correct on statements 1-3.
#4: those are drone brood cells
#5: yes, sometimes this works after you find the queen. The problem was with the hive was that i couldn't find her. Had a strong feeling I got her when I removed the comb, but after Kobe's last post, now I'm second guessing myself.

Does this make you wonder if the city is even reading the meter? Looks like that hive has been there for a while!
