When there is really only two teams in the NBA, you have to do something, desperate or not. Beverly is the only one who is a true starter, we will miss his defense and hard nose play. Harden needs real starters around him. I would rather them go get a big man, San Antonio crushed them on the boards. This doesn't fix that.

Its def a lot to give up, and there was no question that Beverly was the teams best on the ball defender..

Pat was gone no matter what. Paul had already informed the clippers he would be signing with the rockets in the off season, instead, they struck a deal that he opted back into his contract with the clippers and get traded to the rockets on a one year contract. Now the rockets have more negotiating power because we essentially have him for free for one year. Beverly was gone no matter what, either traded or being cut
