A friend, who owned his daddy, also a phenomenal dog , now has a VERY expensive dog from a very solid club ,that won't retrieve a dummy, much less a duck!! You just never know

I've had labs of every color. They all were fantastic family dogs and field dogs.
If you wanna talk to a breeder and trainer that will answer any questions, no matter how silly or small, call Diana at Millercreek Kennels. She's a dog lady for sure. She breeds based on quality animals vs color and looks. I'm on my third generation of lab from her and her family and I will absolutely never go elsewhere for a dog. Ever.
Hit me up if you want her number, she's in Sommerville and one of the nicest ladies to talk dogs with.

Check out Hanson Outdoors.com. Edd is a great duck hunting guide and he has some lab pups for sale right now. These pups have a awesome pedigree which you can see on his web site. I have a black male from one of his litters from a few yrs ago and he is awesome. Edd is a good guy to deal with. He is located in the Lake Fork area. Good luck in your search.

Check my avatar, he'll retrieve a brick if you shoot one out of the sky. He's chocolate and was free. Don't think color matters. He once almost drowned trying to retrieve a crab trap bouy when I threw a stick too close to it. Had to go get him in the boat, he was hell bent on bringing that thing back.
