Assuming the storm hits there on Thursday, will it mess up the fishing for specs and reds?
It will muddy the marsh up and bring high tides (not good for reds in the marsh) for a few days. You should be OK in Theriot as long as the winds/rain/lightning hold out. The freshwater areas around Houma are connected to the tidal bayous and lakes so water movement helps trigger them green cypress trout (largemouth bass for you non cajun folk) into a frenzy. Spring is my favorite time to fish that area. When the water is dropping, i find is the best for bass and sacalait. When it gets high, the fish are not confined to the bayous when it gets over the bank and makes them hard to pattern or locate.
