Same here, I put an irrigation valve box over the cover of the tank. Only 4-5 inches of soil over the top. Get some coat hangers out and see what happens.

pm me your address and I will google earth it. In the pics from the past years it might have even snapped a photo with no grass or during drought years.

on the tool bar up top click on the clock. That will give you access to every photograph they have displayed in their history.

Hard deal with no outside cleanouts. You might try running water down the line and listening with a rod to the ground around the outside to see if you can hear it running down the pipe.

Google Earth as stated above. You can look at past years in the winter and see where the tanks are and measure from a confirmed visible location (corner of the house, etc).

I had to do this to my ' new to me' property. If no cleanout then prove close to the house, esp. Outside of the main bathroom, when you hit pipe dog it up and see which way it's headed, the pothole in that direction, if you don't hit it dig potholes in each cardinal direction from the last located pipe. Took me 2 weeks while working but I found the tank finally. I did archaeology work for a few years that where I learned the 'lateral' trick

I've always seen it on a diagram in the house's closing papers.

This or something similar. I would start digging a trench around the house, until you cut the line, and then follow it out.
Alot of the plugs in the tops of the tanks, have a piece of looped rebar for a handle, so a metal detector might work as well.

A septic guy will find it quickly if there is one there to be found. It's what they do and they know what the general layout should be!
