    Broken Bow ATV TRAILS?

    Get clear, and tinted goggles.

Sunglasses don't work worth a darn with a helmet.

Good call on the dust mask.

    Gloves are a good idea.

We like to pack a picnic lunch, and eat on the trail.

Bring toilet paper for the girls, bathrooms are only at the trail heads (there are 4 at WPG)

We cook at the cabin, and hang out there in the evenings. A hot shower after a day on the trail feels heavenly.

Tune up and prep your quads before the trip. You will rack up a bunch of miles quickly. Make sure your brakes are good, some of those rocky trails are steep.

Prep your trailer as well. Pack bearings, adjust brakes, and confirm lighting is good. Check all your tires (don't forget the spare), and get them balanced. Make sure your straps are good.

I tend to carry more parts and tools than most. I usually wind up helping others far more often than repairs on my own quads.

Print out and laminate a trail map, keep it with you.

I was wondering about the razr rental you did? I went on their website to see rates, but all I can find is information about cabin rentals. Do you have to call if you want to rent something like a atv/razr? Also do you know of other places in the area that rent them if you dont have any atvs of your own?

Wendell were staying at Degray Lake, and made a day trip to ride the trails. Just have to call them about renting a utv. People were awesome, super laid back. Don't know of any other places that rent atv/utv's. Once again Creede, Colorado is not much further, clear mountain mornings, wake up to 55 degree mornings, lots of fishing etc.

Mena, AR is a good time. We usually ride over 100 miles in a day up there. Go see the blue hole cut across trails and wind up at Wolf Pen Gap. It's a great time!

Can you take a 4WD SUV off road in Mena? How challenging would the trails be? Vehicle is a '97 FZJ80, 3" lift, 33's, rear locker, rock rails.

If you're asking me, yes I have. I like it but I'd like to do a bit more overlanding. I believe The 'K' Trail ends in Mena, which I'm wanting to do. It takes about 2 days to complete the whole thing as it's about 175 miles. Last spring we were supposed to do the K trail from west to east then hit the Highwater Mark trail and do the long version of it which is another 3 days. Wasn't able to make the trip, though.

This is who I use as well. Good guy to deal with and when we got back from riding all day we just got a cooler of beer and sat in the cold river. Pretty relaxing.

Where do you go in Colorado? I'm looking for a good 3 day ride somewhere and it's just about gotten too hot outside so I wanna go further north. CO sounds like the ticket

If you go to CO Lake City, Silverton, and Ouray area can't be beat. You can ride all day long in some of the most scenic trails you will ever see.

This, we went there last year and rode for days, the Alpine Loop Trail System is good but Imogene Pass going out of Ouray to Telluride was the best.

Yes. I've built an off road trailer to haul all my stuff. It'll go anywhere!

I've done K trail from Clayton to Mena.

Bring a chainsaw, the forest service hadn't been out recently when I was there (about 10 years back)

It is a fun ride, just be aware of any meth labs or pot growers, another group we ran across had a run in with some on a spur trail, said it got sketchy.

I did it about 3 years ago
It was mostly wide enough for jeeps
