Help me diagnose this problem with my trimmer

Husqvarna trimmer 2-3 years old wouldn't start. I changed the spark plug and replaced the air filter and it started right up. However it runs a little rough and dies when you take from half choke to run or when you try to rev it with the trigger . I have used nothing but TruFuel in it. What should I check next?

    Screen on the muffler
    Pin hole in primer bulb
    Fuel filter

Carburetor little dirty. Start it and spray some carburetor cleaner through the air intake a few times, make it smoke like crazy, should clean it up.

Then add a little sea foam to the gas.

              If none of that works........

Mine was doing something similar, changed filter and plug but that didn't make any difference. Changed fuel lines, cleaned tank breather gizmo (little plastic deal on one of 3 fuel lines coming out of tank) and changed in tank fuel filter.

              Runs like new again

It's your carb. Bogging engine means fuel is not getting to engine. Doesn't matter if it's a newer machine. Buy some marvins mystery oil from autozone and mix in gas. If none of these work it needs a new carb. They are not rebuildable cause that's how newer units are being made. People ask me to work on them all the time. Just not worth it to me. PM me if you have any questions.

My tried and true method, regardless of make is to try several of the posted suggestions then take said weedeater out to the concrete driveway and beat against the concrete while cussing profusely until I run out of breath, then make long slow trip to the hardware store to try another brand. Seems to happen about every 2-3 years for me too.

My vote is the spark arrestor screen in muffler. Mine would hardly run and guy at mower shop told me to that the spark arrestor get clogged with suet. Took the screen off and it runs better now than when it was new.

He doesn't actually mean Marvin's Mystery Oil, rather I'm pretty sure Durham is referring to Marvel's Mystery Oil. Pretty good stuff. I would also recommend Mechanic in a Bottle, which works wonders (about $6), can find it at Home Depot.

                            Good luck, John.

I have an uncle that did small engine repair after he retired. His standard answer when anyone asked him if he could fix a 2 stroke weed eater was "I have a dumpster."
