I had two new fawns killed in the same week last spring. I was extremely ticked off and have literally been on the war path ever since

That's what I've always heard. Coyotes and armadillos arrived up here from the southwest at around the same time decades ago. We still have plenty of deer, but armadillos are annoying!

Near Stockdale. Yes they killed a fawn and that is its head. I am fairly certain that the doe the fawn belonged to wandered back and forth in front of another trail cam.

He claims the more you try and get rid of them the more they spread and reproduce

Yep, if you have a specific animal that has learned to raid a hen house or prey on young goats it makes sense to take that animal out. But outright extermination isn't going to happen from shooting them.

I heard them the night before, they were really singing. This must be the reason.

Will need to put the hammer down.

appears to be a button buck .... the rest of him is inside that coyotes stomach

likely heading back to the den to feed the young pups

coyotes will gorge themselves with fresh killed fawns and carry the head back ... lots of trail cam pics confirming this
