No criticism just curiosity. I am a little envious that I can't take on something similar right now.

One day I will build up a square body chevy because that's what I rode in as a kid. It won't be cheap. Wife and I discuss it in occasion and she doesn't get it- tells me to buy a new jeep. Really wanted the backstory if there was one. Guess I hit a nerve.

My first New vehicle was a Sami and now I wanted something light to put on a trailer behind the motor home in my retirement. Also I generally go a little overboard on any restoration I do. I won't ever be at a stop light and have someone pull up in the same rig...

The Jeep Wrangler weighs almost twice what the Sammy weighs. I want to put it on a 12 foot trailer I had built so if I needed to run to town and get corn ect.. I could pull the trailer behind it. Also no risk of burning up anything by flat towing or disconnecting the drive shaft. The weight becomes a major factor up and down the mountains behind the RV....the trailer has breaks for the downhill control part. I have no intention of ever taking this off road in the mud but possibly will see some snow, I have a Crew Mule if I need to go way off road. This was more of a practical vehicle that turned into a labor of love for old vehicles, this was built the year I graduated High school and I bought one the year they came out and it carried me back and forth from Houston to Miami several times when I was in the Coast Guard. So yes I could have bought a jeep but this is what I wanted...

Awesome. Makes sense, I never gave the weight a thought.

I've never had any interest in Samurais at all, but that one is awesome! Great job!
