All gander mtn stores closing

I remember when they closed the one in Corsicana, I went in multiple times thinking there could be some good deals but even their clearance prices were higher than other stores regular prices

Agree, went to the Sugarland store this week and walked out empty handed.

So I checked the gander mountain Twitter and it turns out the guy that has the tv show "The Profit" is quarterbacking all this. But he's saying the stores aren't closing. The gander mountain employees in College Station had no idea what was going on. The profit guy is saying some stores aren't closing. So I'm sure they will turn into camping world stores. So I'm sure there won't be a ton of good deals at the ones staying open through the transition.

The gander mountain employees in College Station had no idea what was going on. The profit guy is saying some stores aren't closing. So I'm sure they will turn into camping world stores. So I'm sure there won't be a ton of good deals at the ones staying open through the transition.

I was at the CS store about 2 weeks ago, and the check out guy asked if I wanted to apply for a gander mountain credit card. I just laughed, and told him not thanks. I did notice they had a going out of business sign yesterday, and a bunch of vehicles in the parking lot.

I went to the Westheimer store last week and didn't see anything that I couldn't buy for less at Academy. There were quite a few people in there, but it looked like most left empty-handed like me.

I thought I read all but around 15 will be closing. It didn't saw what 15 would be staying open

Went and picked up a couple rods and life jackets. Averaged about 35% off. Not much left in terms of reels at the Sugarland location. Only the extreme high-end rods had a broad selection for casting rods. Lots of spinning stuff left. Ammo and firearms were only 10% off.

But where will i buy my walleye gear now in Beaumont?

I worked at the Beaumont store about 10 years ago. I remember the day that we got an entire truckload of ice fishing gear including blow up fishing huts!!!! I was working in receiving and I was like, "WHAT THE HECK??!!!!!" We would frequently buy stuff on sale from Academy because it was cheaper than our cost allocation from GM directly.

I'm not surprised that they are closing. I think it's long overdue.

Went by the College Station store Friday evening. Some clothing was marked down 30%, and some other stuff 10%, but a lot was not marked down. Will try again in a week or so.

We still don't have a lot of signs put out yet. Everyone is jumping ship so there are only a handful of people trying to run a whole store right now. Everything is the store is marked down some. May only be 10% though

Already said this earlier in the thread lol. All inventory will be liquidated and all new inventory will be brought in. It will stay a "Gander"

17 will for sure remain open and it is likely more will be included.
