I need some help. I bought a house with a grill that already had a gas line run to it from the meter. About a year later the gas line developed a leak. I had a plumber come out and since the gas line either runs under the garage or the pool decking it was going to cost about 4K to replace. If I move the grill to the other side of the pool and make a small slab to mount it on it makes it about 26' and a straight shot from the meter. I have done all kind of handy man projects but never anything that had to do with a gas line. I had a plumber tell me it would still be $1,500 to run the line. I don't know the in's and out's of a running a gas line, but it sounds a little steep. Any advice?
