You can only go with a longer arrow if the spine works out (longer is weaker). I bareshaft tune my bows and arrow length is part of that. As others have said good FOC is important with long range shooting.
A few years ago I built a bunch of arrows to test vanes (after bareshaft tuning). I used Blazer Vanes, Razyr feathers, 2" Fusion vanes, 3" parabolic feathers, 3" Vanetec vanes, 4" feathers, 4" Vanetec vanes, I think that was all of them. For me with fixed broadheads the Blazers with a hard helical honestly gave the best groups out to 75 yards (farthest I could shoot at the time). Your experience may differ.
